Welcome to Bampa's House
A non-profit 501(c)(3) comfort care home centrally located in the tri-county area
Bampa’s House is a two bedroom comfort care home where the terminally ill can spend the final days of their lives receiving compassionate care in a peaceful, home-like environment. We provide a nurturing and supportive place for our residents to spend their last days with dignity and respect. We understand that this time can be difficult, and our goal is to make it as comfortable as possible for our residents and their loved ones.
Individualized comfort care provided by volunteers, including pain control and symptom relief, supplemented by hospice care coordinated by CareFirst.
No Set Visiting Hours
Family and friends are encouraged to visit at any time. If a resident's family member is from out of town and/or does not have a place to stay, there is a guest room available.
24- Hour Staffing
A combination of volunteers and staffing is there around the clock to coordinate care and communicate with the resident's family.
Each resident has their own private bedroom and bathroom, as well as a private deck overlooking the serenity garden.
Bampa's House has a fully stocked kitchen. Resident families can cook their own meals if desired, or volunteers are happy to prepare meals and snacks.
Bampa's House is open to the residents and their family and friends during their stay. It has a spacious family room, library, and kitchen with telephone, TV, and internet. There is also beautiful serenity garden to spend time outdoors.
Bampa's House is a critical resource for the Steuben, Chemung, and Schuyler county area. We are a non-profit organization that does not charge its residents for their stays. We also do not receive any funds or reimbursements from insurance, Medicare, or the government. We will always be in need of donations, volunteers, and in-kind gifts to be able to operate and upkeep our beautiful and much needed home.
There's no place like home.
